We began this journey as Sail’n Galápagos, driven by a deep love for these islands and the sea. Today, as Superyacht Galapagos, we are proud to be the first yacht agency and superyacht service provider established in the archipelago.

Arriving in the Galápagos in 1985, I, Ricardo, began a life rooted in the values of conservation, a commitment I share with Yvonne to this day. Whether in public service or private enterprise, we’ve always worked with one priority in mind: protecting the archipelago.

Before 1997, foreign yachts visiting Galápagos did so informally. There was no legal framework, and few options for those wishing to explore the islands by sea. That changed when we pioneered a new path—creating the first legal and operational foundation to welcome private yachts and superyachts in a responsible, organized way. This vision was later enshrined in the 1998 Galápagos Law, which recognized this kind of visitation as part of a sustainable model for the islands.
