Yvonne Mórtola — Co-Founder & Naturalist Guide
Yvonne Mórtola is a certified Naturalist Guide with more than 40 years of experience in the Galápagos archipelago. Since 1984, she has worked aboard a wide range of vessels, from expedition ships to private yachts, developing deep knowledge of the natural environment and the expectations of high-end clientele.
For decades, Yvonne has been a close professional partner to Ricardo Arenas. Together, they form a trusted team personally known by yacht owners, captains and returning guests — often recognized as much by their names and reputation as by the agency itself.
She has collaborated in field research with visiting universities and with scientists associated with the Charles Darwin Research Station, and brings extensive experience in guest relations and operational logistics from her work within the tourism sector. In 1998, together with Ricardo, she co-founded Sail’n Galapagos, supporting and guiding a significant number of private yachts visiting the islands.
Her work has been recognized by the Galápagos National Park and the Charles Darwin Foundation. She continues her professional development in marine security, ISO standards, group management and environmental interpretation.
Today, Yvonne oversees client relations, ensuring that every visit reflects the same values that have guided her work for decades: professionalism, environmental responsibility and personalized service.
